Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-08-07
SOLO Hero is built for kids with a wide range of abilities. We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our standard and treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a finished checkbox.
What is available today
- Real-time captions for every spoken coaching, counting, and safety cue in the workout player.
- Caption controls — captions on/off plus an adjustable font size with a live preview in Settings.
- Coach transcript — parents can read a history of everything the coach voice said.
- Reduced motion — defaults to your device's "reduce motion" setting and can be overridden in Settings.
- Keyboard control of the player — Space or K to pause, → or N for the next movement, W for a water break, Esc to finish.
- Screen reader support — labelled controls and a polite live region that announces the current movement and timer phase.
- Seated and wheelchair-friendly heroes in the profile picker, and an "easier version" option on every movement.
- Silent play — the workout works fully with sound off, using captions and timers only.
Known limitations
- A full screen-reader pass across every screen outside the workout player is still in progress.
- Some illustrated content, including the exercise reference poster, conveys movement visually; text descriptions of each movement are provided in the Exercise Library.
- Offline mode and TV mode are not released yet and are labelled "coming soon".
Report a barrier
If any part of SOLO Hero is hard to use, email support@soloherofitness.com with the screen and the device you were using. We aim to respond within 5 business days and will offer an alternative way to complete the task while we fix the issue.
